Implementing a lessons learned process and framework – how can we stop reinventing the wheel?
Back by popular demand, this session is an in-depth case sharing session from Jabatan Kerja Raya Malaysia (JKR), on the implementation of their lessons learned programme, and the implications for other KM practitioners seeking to implement a lessons learned programme. Dr Khairil's sharing will be followed by a panel discussion on the broader implications of this case study, and audience Q&A.
JKR is the nation’s largest technical agency responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of public infrastructure projects with 22,000-strong workforce. In an attempt to address recurrent and critical issues in major projects, JKR implemented a systematic lessons learned programme which includes capturing and documenting project lessons learned, development of a JKR Practical Guide on Project Lessons Learned (PLL) and an integrated approach towards capturing project learnings, and establishing uniform practice among all project teams. Participants will be able to explore aspects of the case that are most relevant to them in an interactive discussion format.
